Acne linked to ovulation?

I've been off birth control for a few months now and haven't had any issues with acne..now that my cycle has gone back to normal I'm breaking out mid cycle around the time of ovulation.  I've heard that the 2 are linked...anybody else heard or experienced it? Any insight is appreciated :)

I was on birth control for years and never really got bad acne, maybe a pimple or two around my period and that was it. I got off the pill in March and ever since then I've been breaking it really badly around mid to late cycle. It's all around my chin and mouth area, I look like a teenager! I know it's hormonal when you get breakouts in that area, but it's still so annoying!

Estrogen spikes right before lh does. This is what is causing you to breakout. It probably means your testosterone is high. Just eat some anti androgen foods to combat it a week up to ovulation.
