I saw a few posts about people already scheduling their baby showers. Just curious- how does this normally play out? I'm worried no one will offer to throw me one. :(. It's not that we need assistance to be able to afford the things we need, it's more that I will feel sad if no one offers to throw me one, like in high school when no one picks you for a group project. :(. At what point do people usually offer to throw showers and at what point should I make my peace with realizing no one will offer to throw me one?

Of course I realize this isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but we all want to feel socially accepted and "normal" sometimes. :)
