Stay at home dads?

So I'm ttc at the moment. Not hard core yet just not preventing. Me and my SO have talked at length about who would stay home with the baby and agree on him. I make more, it makes sense I guess. Anybody else plan in the daddy being home full time?

My husband will stay at home with our daughter when she is born. It makes sense since I have the steady and well paying job. You have to do what's right for your family. I hate the stigma around stay at home dads and I get so annoyed when my mom says "so he'll be doing the Mr. Mom thing?" He's not Mr. Mom he's a Father!

My husband is going to work from home one day so that I can still work part time and not have to pay for daycare. I think it is going to work out great.

My SO have jobs we both despise, we've been talking about taking a class together to get a license for something that would make us money, and eventually work up to build our own company. That way, we can have a great income, work together and from home. The only thing I'm worried about is giving up my great health benefits, but when the time comes, I'm hoping my job now allows me to work part time with benefits. Unless, we do this, i can still work full time, only have 12 years left to retire with collecting a pension. But, if we can do this with making a great salary, I wouldn't mind paying for benefits on my own.

My hubby wouldn't be able to stay home with our daughter. He is a great husband and dad but he couldn't cope mentally with her!!!
