My daughters middle name was set in stone before we even had her first name picked out, we do family names for middle and whatever we like for first, her name is Ayla Jean (my grandmas middle name) and my sons name is Liam Joseph (his dads name)

Me and my hubby pick middle names based off family members who we love and are close to my sons middle name we got from my dear grandma ❤ and our little girl due in October will have my moms name as her middle name 😊

Something that flows well with our first name. We don't want to do family names but reach of our kids middle names have ended up being a name from my husband's side 🤷 we tell everyone we didn't name them after anyone.

For the first time on both our families side, our baby won’t have a family name as his middle name. The rest of our family took them all, so we picked a name completely unique to our little man. I don’t think it’s necessary for a middle name to be a family name😌
