Mad husband spilled the names already

My husband and I usually talk over baby names before we fall asleep.

The other night we think we decided our girl and boy names we really like.

Well while in the car with my sister on a way to an event Saturday my husband said he told his mom the name and she said she hated it. I instantly said “you told her our names already?” he was like it’s no big deal.

But I cannot stop being angry over it. We really liked these names and now my mother-in-law knows (at least the boys first name, I will be really mad if he told her everything) and said she HATES it, also my sister knows now too! I don’t care what other people think of our names but that’s exactly why you don’t tell them ahead of time.

I am really pissed off over it today - pregnancy hormones I’m sure making it into a bigger deal than it should be - but I said several times not to say a WORD until after the baby is born and we declare one. He can never keep his mouth shut about anything (especially with how close he is with my MIL - but that’s another rant!) and I just can’t get over that now I feel like my perfect names are ruined :(

Can anyone relate or at least help me calm down over this? I am pretty upset over something that’s probably somewhat trivial- not to mention many months away yet.
