Ear infections?

So my 15 month old finally got rid of his double ear infection about a week and a half ago. Recently he started acting like he had ànother one. He had his 15 month check up today and we found out he has another one in his left ear. This will be his 4th ear infection since he was 4 months old. Does anyone else's child get them a lot?

My son had 13 ear infections by the time he was 11 months when the antibiotics stopped working Finally we got tubes and he turned into a whole different kid and he hasn’t had one since. They said it could have been from him laying down and drinking milk it could have been leaking into his ears but we’ll never know

My daughter is 15 months & she’s had about 5 total. She just got over last one which happened a few days after her 15th month appt. She had her 1st one in December so...7 months

Our little guy has one right now. He had one in June and also a double ear infection in February. He did have one other one when he was a little younger too. Poor thing is miserable. I am curious though...does you LO talk much? My son says very little words. Only momma, dada, and uh-oh. At his 15 month check up his doctor gave us papers to contact early intervention to see if he needs a speech therapist because by now he should be saying more. I made a post an multiple people mentioned that maybe he should have a hearing test done because sometimes kids who have multiple ear infections can cause them to have a harder time hearing which can cause the delay in talking. So I was just curious where your LO stood with talking.

I’m in the same boat! My 15 month old right now has his 3rd double ear infection since January  I feel so bad for him. He is miserable

My friends son has them all the time! Does he use a pacifier a lot? There is evidence that the constant sucking can cause them. Otherwise, it’s probably just anatomy. Hopefully he’ll grow out of it soon! I hear the meds really suck!
