Redlight greenlight sex?!??? What does it mean???

This kind of thing happens ALL the time. Pretty much every time I want to have sex. What does it mean?????? Help me decipher 🤨🧐

So, he gets home around 9 last night, I greet him when he comes in, we talk for a bit and I go in the bedroom. A few minutes later he comes in the bedroom and starts changing. I grab him by the hips and pull him on top of me and start kissing him. He smiles and kisses me back. (Green light!) Then, he tries to get up. I playfully hold onto him and keep kissing him. He pulls me off and says “I’m trying to get dressed.” (Ok, red light) so i leave him alone, he gets dressed then comes and sits in bed next to me. (Green light) I swing my leg around him, sitting on his lap and kissing him. He kisses me back and laughs a little. (Green light.) he says “did you miss me, or are you just horny?) I say...”hm, both” I keep kissing him. He kisses me back a little, then (softly) pushes me away.... (okaaay. Red light). I rolled over to my side of the bed, pretty much gave up. I get ready for bed, come back to bed where he is laying. I put my head on his shoulder and just laid there. (SO HORNY and kinda frustrated at this point.) I gently rubbed his stomach (he likes it) for like ten minutes. Then I started to rub his.. -down there-. He got hard. But he wasn’t moving or seeming interested. I just kept on playing around down there softly. I kissed him, kinda checking to see if he was interested at all. Finally he rolled towards me. But more like just trying to get it over with??? We had sex, but I definitely was more into it than he was, as usual.... I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THE REDLIGHT GREENLIGHT STUFF! I don’t want to force him to have sex with me, but he smiles and seems like he sort of wants it???? CONFUSING
