What is ansafe way to stop smoking while pregnant in 1st trimester?? My dr informed me that cutting back gradually is the way to do it. Stopping cold turkey could put the baby in shock and cause miscarriage or birth defects. I was just wondering if anyone had any other tips. And yes i know i should of stopped before getting pregnant i just didnt expect it so soon only been trying 2 months and the funny thing i told my husband that when AF arrived this month i was just going to quit cold Turkey... yeah that didnt happen
