Can I throw my own baby shower?

That’s the question. Can I throw my own baby shower? Decorate it how I want it to be?! Lol or a gender reveal also? I hate my SIL and my MIL is a B* so I want to do it myself? Any thoughts lol

No one ever pays attention to WHO throws the shower. People just show up regardless! You don’t have to word the invite any certain way to give away who is throwing it if you’re a little insecure about it.  (That’s what I would do.. just a simple “come celebrate baby _____”)

I did both of mine 🤷🏻‍♀️ my best friend passed away when we were younger, I don’t have a good relationship with my family, and I knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted. Haters gonna hate.

Do whatever you want, invite whoever you want, it’s your baby, your shower! Best way to get what you want is to do it yourself! As nice as It was to have people plan mine, and I got along with them great, it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind and I kinda wish I had a do over. Lots of people I didn’t know were there that my MIL invited because she planned it. 😒 So I say throw it yourself the way you want😊

You can do whatever you want! Screw traditions, you aren't required to do anything. It would only be considered tacky I think if they threw you one and then you threw yourself a second one.
