Brushing your teeth in the shower

My roommate brushes her teeth in the shower and I think it is disgusting. I can also hear her gag 😷  Mind you, the place where she puts her toothbrush and toothpaste are very dirty and moldy (one of those fabric hanging caddies). 
Do you brush your teeth in the shower? This is the second roommate  I've had that does this and I find it curious. Does it really save you time?
