Needing some clarifications

My husband and I THOUGHT that we wanted to start ttc, but he is now very afraid after reading some things about “older women” giving birth, and I have more concerns than I thought I would as well.

I do have a heart condition known as mitral valve prolapse, suffer tremendously from nocturnal GERD, will be 40 when I would go into labor, and I want a natural birth. Also this is my first pregnancy.

So my question is, am I crazy for wanting to do this, knowing that to some degree I’ll already be “high risk” just because of my age?? Will ANY doctor agree to let me do it naturally? And if they do, what are the chances of me needing to do an emergency c-section? A scheduled one would be MUCH better but I really would like to do natural. Anyone that have any of the issues I’ve mentioned, in my age group as a first time mom... that have successfully birthed naturally??
