Tips to hide being pregnant?

Question

My husband and I are thrilled we are having a baby, but it's too soon to let our family know. We are going to a huge family wedding, there will be a toast and wine on every table. My family knows I enjoy wine. They will notice when I don't have any. My dress is very fitting. I will be 11 weeks, any tips? I really don't want people guessing while we are there to celebrate my cousins wedding.

​Wear a slightly looser fitting dress and have your husband go to the bar to get you a soft drink in a wine glass so like lemonade with dash of lime or something or in a talk glass and say you are drinking gin and tonic cos u had a big wine night this week with work or with a pal who was down etc. At the toast, if you are ok to, take a mouthful and move back to your soft wine/tall glass

​When I got pregnant I was soooo against going near alcohol but then I spoke to a few friends who have kids and my mum who all said a little won't hurt. My private gyno even told me 2 - 3 units a week is ok. So when recently I was in a similar situation to you, I did drink the odd mouthful in those moments where everyone was looking but I also excuses myself a lot to go to the loo (as I was drinking lots of water too!) and had hubby primed that when I said, gin and tonic, I was only getting tonic!!!

I like the idea of drinking a soft drink and saying it's mixed with liquor.

​At my bridal shower one of my bridesmaids was pregnant and she loves her wine. She just walked around with the glass in her hand and nobody questioned it.

​I would say a sip at the toast would be totally okay. Or take a pretend sip :)
