I had to be induced but my body wasn’t ready to move along I guess. The IV meds didn’t open my cervix so their next play was to insert a balloon in me and when it fell out I would be at 3cm. It put me at 5cm. My question is about the next move. After five hours the doctor came in and decided (without asking me) he would push my cervix open with his hands. He put two hands up me and told me to push on the next contraction. When I push, he pushed. That went on for about 3 contractions.

I’ve never heard of anything like this. It was sprung on me, no choice. It was very painful (as if labor isn’t bad enough) and I’ve never felt so violated in my life. Has anyone else experienced this?? Do doctors do this often??
