What to do when family doesn't approve of age gap relationship?

Me and my SO have been postponing telling our family we are pregnant. I'm getting ready to tell them in the next few days. Any advice on how to go about a situation like this? Our age gap is quite significant... he's a year older than my dad, family is quite traditional and we aren't married yet. Help!

I waited over a year to tell my family....don't wait like I did. Im 21 and my fiance is 41 and I am completely madly in love with him. I regret not introducing him earliet, but when I did it actually went pretty well. After a while we started having problems because I was basically hiding him from my family and that's not okay in a relationship. My family can be quite judgemental but at the end of the day, if they trust you and love you, they will come to an understanding. They may not like it or agree, but they don't have to. I would wait unless you aren't sure he's the one to save yourself the stress. Only time i would hold of on doing it.
