I was induced Sunday evening at 8 pm with cervadil to soften my cervix. I had cramping and contractions throughout the night but were bearable. The doctor checked me around 11 am Monday and I was only 1 1/2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. After she checked me I got very strong contractions every 2 minutes to where I thought I was going to throw up. I sat in a spa for about 30 minutes before deciding I needed the epidural. As soon as I received the epidural around 2:30 I was dilated to 5 cm. Finally at 5 pm I was ready to start pushing! Leo Kevin Bland, born on 8/27, at 7:12 PM, weighing 7 lbs 11 ounces, 20 1/2 inches.
