So I’m going to try to make this short, sorry it’s not. I’m currently 28 w 5 days. I hadn’t really had a problems this pregnancy other than the normal things and a few elevated bp here and there. Well Sunday I got up cleaned the apartment, washed the dog and my hair (what I normally do on sundays) and while walking the dog I started to feel what I thought were Braxton Hicks. Tried drinking water, change positions rest the whole 9 and they were getting worse! I call the on call dr at the er and explained what was happening and I also lost mucus like discharge and they told me to come in. I live about 8 min from hospital. Naive, me and my SO didn’t even take phone chargers with us because we thought we would be sent home for me overreacting (I worry a lot) but after being hooked up and checked, 3 drs came in to tell me I would not be leaving and I was threatening pre term labor dilated 2cm already! I was in shock most of the time. I immediately call my mom and the received steroid shots and magnesium ( 😫) also more medication and close monitoring. Catheters in place to do a 24 hour urine and NO GETTING OUT OF BED. Monday by the night contractions stopped and everything seemed to be going good. Baby had strong heartbeat and was/ is very active. Ultrasound showed baby was 2 lbs and 11oz and head was really far down like she was ready. Thankfully they got everything to stop and I was released today on bed rest with and appointment one Thursday
