Throat numbing spray?

I’m curious to look into throat numbing spray, what do y’all recommend? My gag reflex isn’t horrible, but I’m curious to see how the spray changes oral for him. The only numbing product I’ve ever had in my mouth is Novocain so I don’t really have experience with this. Are there any side effects? How long does it last? Are there certain brands you trust over others? Why? Is it cheap? I assume good quality spray is around $10-15 but I’d rather get some personal input before doing my own research. I’d also prefer to buy it from somewhere like Walgreens or CVS, cause I’d rather have it sooner then have to wait for it to come in.
