Tanning while prego?

I feel bad even asking but I have my baby shower coming up (I’m 7 months prego). I’ve wanted to tan a little just to get some color so I could feel better bout myself, I’ve looked it up online and from what I’ve read it says as long as you don’t overheat yourself it doesn’t harm the baby. Anyone in my shoes??

i would do a spray instead. tanning beds can raise your body temperature & can be dangerous. maybe a safer choice!

I wouldn't use a tanning bed but laying out by the pool should be just fine!

I would get in a tanning bed but I lay out all the time by the pool. Just stay hydrate! Also I went to Ulta and got the rub on lotion that works well it spray tan

I tanned probably once every two weeks with my first and did spray tans, this time I don’t have time like that so I have only went in a bed a few times but spray on the regular. If you do it at a good salon and regulate how long you go and don’t overdo it I’m sure you’ll be just fine.

I use St Tropez! It’s a foam + mit that you rub in gentle circles. When I went for a spray tan, they warned me of “dangers of inhaling the spray” or something, and this was before I was pregnant. No judgement here! Just wanted to pass on words I’d heard and a great solution I found. Also, I use the “dark” in the black bottle. It’s the only one that shows up for me.

I got a tan hand sprayed on me. It was organic and all of that stuff and it was literally amazing!!!!

I personally wouldnt do a tanning bed pregnant or not, but to each their own. I will say to be careful to not burn yourself though. I was shocked, I have dark olive skin from the Indian in my blood, and had only gotten 1 burn in my whole life, from spending a week in the florida sun without using any sunscreen, I got a nasty bright red burn from 2 hours in the Michigan sun when I got married on the beach a few weeks ago. Pregnant skin can be much more sensitive apparently haha.

I wouldn't do a tanning bad, and I would use sun screen and make sure you don't over heat, I sun bathed when I was 20 weeks and was fine,  just have to limit your time, don't stay out for a hour or something and keep water close by, or you can also get that tanning lotion stuff too
