Baby Levi birth story

Shasta

My husband and I decided to start ttc September 2017 thinking it would take awhile since we tried 5yrs to have our first son. However, early December I found out I was pregnant again. We were surprised and excited.

Starting at 14 weeks I began bleeding and did so off and on until 30weeks due to placenta previa. I had regular ultrasounds at 34 weeks it still was not resolved and they scheduled a c-section for 37 weeks. They wanted to do a last min. check and 4 days before my c/s the previa resolved and they canceled the c/s. I was happy and sad I really wanted to meet my baby but knew this was better for him.

At 39 weeks they induced me using a bulb cath. and pitocin. That went great and super smooth. I made it to 7cm and my water broke on its own, I asked for an epidural at that point. Unfortunatly, the anesthsia guy was horrible it took forever to place it (SO painful) and it didnt work! A couple hours later it was time to deliver my baby. My husband was wonderful, although maybe scarred for life, as I yelled and cried through the entire thing. I did not at all plan for an unmedicated birth.

At 11:37am 8/8/2018 My precious baby boy was born he had the cord around his neck three times and came out blue. After alot of rubbing and suctioning he pinked up and started making noise. He actually never cried until he had his first hep. vaccine.
