It’s really different for every mom. For my t was excruciating but for my friends it never ever hurt them! So you really can’t know until you try. Good luck! It’s totally worth it regardless of the pain :)

I breastfed my first for a year and am currently breastfeeding my 4mo. I had just a little discomfort with my first at the very beginning and since then, nope! Totally fine! Sitting here, looking down at my beautiful baby boy while feeding him, is actually kinda relaxing 🤷🏻‍♀️😊

At first it can hurt, while adjusting to holding and baby latching properly. For me it was a little painful for maybe 2 weeks but mostly during my hospital stay. The only time after that that I’ve had pain is when my son actually had teeth and legit bit and pulled my nipples, other than that his teeth have not been an issue. I stopped the biting by pulling him off and yelling ouch, putting him down. Then trying again he understood after a few bites that he wasn’t eating if he bit. He has 8 teeth now is just over 1 and cutting 4 more (his k9’s) and I still don’t have issues, I can’t feel his teeth which I assume is because he has a good latch.

it feels like your nipples are getting Indian burn. and then someone stabs a knife thru them. and then feels like liquid nitrogen gets poured on them. and then the burn is gone 40 seconds into the feeding and you're good.

I never hurt at all but i havent had nerves that worked properly in my breasts since inwas abouy 13/14. The only time it got painful was when me and my son got thrush and it was just continously treated like mastitis for 3.5 months before i finally medicated it myself with herbal oldfolks type medicine.
