Baby shower question..
Ok so my mom is insisting on planning my shower... Now I know this is great but my mom and I are very different. She loves trying to impress people then complain and quilt trip about anything and everything 😡. We are huge on Halloween and even though I'll only be 6 months thought it'd be perfect. Well the other issue is my husband and I live in ohio but a majority of our families are in Maryland, Virginia and other east coast states. I'm already being told I'm being selfish because I told her it has to be in Ohio!
1: I am out of time off till November and it's a 7 hr. drive to MD.
2: if the shower was in MD. we would have to have a family member make the trip to bring the gifts back here.
I really don't see how I'm being selfish for not allowing myself the extra stress of driving 7hrs on a Friday night (probably wouldn't get there till 2am) for a Saturday shower then turn around and leave Sunday morning for another 7 hr drive. All she keeps saying is well you won't get as many gifts if it's there. When I know half her reason is she doesn't want to make the extra trip and she can't invite ppl I don't want/know to show off.
