Has anyone used this as a sleeper?

I did my research and this is not recommended for unsupervised sleeping but the doctor has recommended no bassinet unless we elevate it which he roles down the bassinet and use blankets to get his butt in place which is dangerous also. He has a choking episode and been diagnosed with reflux. I just want to know if anyone used this as a sleeper? What the outcome was? She told me there is no logical reason that this is unsafe but idk.

We used the rock n play until about 4 mos old. He stayed right next to the bed. He slept better in there than any of the other million options we tried. Our doctors only concern was crunched legs for a long time. So, when I laid him I elevated his legs.

It’s recommended they sleep on a flat surface, which helps to keep their airway clear. See in the picture how his head is angled down towards his body? That can restrict the airway. 
It can also cause them to get flat spots on their head because they can’t turn their head from side to side freely. 
An elevated bassinet shouldn’t be elevated enough that they roll down it, just enough that their head is higher than their body

My youngest had reflux too and slept in one of those every night..always right next to me so I could see her. Never had any issues. She did only use it for about 3 months then once she started rolling I moved her to her crib to be safe. I know everyone says don’t use pillows in their crib but that helped my daughter so much with her reflux after 3 months. I always put the pillow down and put her fitted sheet on top of it so she had no way of getting under it or anything :)

When I had my son we used this swing and it’s amazing! He had bad reflux and this swing keeps baby just the right amount elevated. You strap them in so they can’t roll. It has different swinging settings and a vibrating setting. You can put it right next to your bed! I had so much piece of mind with him sleeping in it!

I did with all of mine. They all had reflux (genetics) until they were able to sit up alone. Then I moved them to cribs. (Except my youngest. She’s in a pack n play & we live with my bro & his kids so no room for a crib)

I don’t, but my sister did with my nephew until he was about 4 months. Never had any issues with it.

My daughter slept in the rock and play for many months. She’s safe and happy. I never felt like she was unsafe in it.
