Anyone been ghosted by a friend?

How did you handle it? Did you confront then or just count it as a loss? This was one of my closest friends and thanks to my anxiety I can't stop wondering what I did to ruin it thought I have no idea how I would have! I don't have many close friends to start with so it's really affecting me.

Nope but I have ghosted a few. I didn't want them in my life anymore. Why ask why? Move on. I want them to leave my alone or I would have had a discussion instead of ghosting.

Just move on. Don’t think you’ve done anything wrong. People just grow apart. I was so certain that I would remain close friends with all of my high school mates (including some best mates) but that just doesn’t happen. People get busy. Their goals take them in a different direction. They meet new people. 
It’s impossible to be friends with everyone for the rest of your life. There is not enough time on the day to sustain all friendships. 
I ghosted a lot of friends when I was 19-22. I lost someone very close to me and just didn’t give a shit about other relationships. I let them go. 
Friendships are weird because most of the time you don’t really ‘break up’ with your friends. You just drift apart.

Sometimes ghosting people is just the easiest way. I know personally I don’t like conflict. And if I feel like I just don’t mesh right with a person and more, I just tend to ghost away. 
It’s better imo than confronting them and telling them why I don’t want to hang out with them. Then they have to feel bad that I don’t like them anymore. 
Maybe it’s stupid. 
But I’d just let it go. I know it sucks but maybe it’s for the best.

I lost most of my friendly recently to really random and unfortunate situations that would make a really long comment, so I'll spare the details. Two of the friends I lost were of my few closest friends. I confronted one (because her and I were closer than any other the others), it ended badly, and I lost her. I didn't confront the other because he sorta fucked up and never apologized or reached out to me again after the fact.
Some people aren't worth it and they'll show that through their actions. I used to fight for people until my last breath until I realized they weren't doing it for me. It isn't a loss when you lose people like that. Don't let it bring you down, there'll be a lot more people you can meet 🙂
