If a baby sleeps in bed between you and hubby in a side sleeper (snuggleme, dock a tot, etc) is that considered co-sleeping? Or is it only called co-sleeping if the baby is in bed with you and not in a side sleeper?

I’m only asking for clarification. I see many posts about co-sleeping and I’m just not sure if everyone is only referring to baby being on the mattress with you (without a side sleeper), or if it’s always co-sleeping when baby is in your bed regardless of if they’re in a side sleeper or not.

I believe technically cosleeping is room sharing, bed sharing is them in the bed without a bassinet. But I think a lot of people use cosleeping when they mean bed sharing.

For me bed sharing = everything that involves baby sleeping in the parents bed. 
Co-sleeping is when baby has a separate sleeping space attached or not attached to parents bed out of harms way from blankets or pillows and still is in the same room.

Bed sharing is baby in your bed. Co sleeping is baby in your room but not in bed. It's Cosleeping still if you use a safe cosleeper in between yourself and your husband.
