My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. I’m 20 and he’s 23. During this whole time, he’s had the most difficult time holding a job and is super open about how he hates work. I finally got him to get a job a month ago after him not working for 8 months and just living off of me. He’s called off 3 times, once every week for the past three weeks. I’m getting worried that he’s already showing me we can’t have a future together. I work and provide for myself and have asked him to prove he can provide for our future family as well. We almost broke up before he got this job over the fact that I’m worried about us actually having a future. He’s said he wanted to put his 2 weeks in last Friday when he got upset over a long day. What are your thoughts? I’m feeling hopeless. I know he hasn’t quit yet, but we’ve gone down this road at least 5 times with previous jobs.
