When does the 2nd trimester start?

Google has mixed responses. Some websites say the beginning of 13 weeks, some say the beginning of the 14th week! Does anyone know which week it is?

My midwife told me just a couple days ago that the first trimester is through 12wks, the second trimester is 13wks - 27wks, and the third trimester begins at 28wks.

Technically it's 13 weeks 3 days. Just go with 13. Not 14 though

When you’re at the end of the 13th week, or in the 14th is week, however you put it. So 13+1, then you’re in the second trimester

I'm a little confused as well! I noticed glow is referring to me being in the second trimester (I'm 13 weeks tomorrow so that seems too early) yet other apps say 13 or 14. I think if you go with 14 weeks then you can say on 13+1 you are "in the 2nd trimester" because technically you are "in your 14th week" if that makes sense. That's what I'm going by anyway.
