Are ovulation tests accurate?

I’ve been taking clear blue advance to detect when is my peak and it’s been appearing as peak the past 5 days. 
Has anyone experienced that?!

Mind haven’t gone that Kong, but were positive for at least 3 days and I got them twice before a period and now it’s the second time around for this cycle which I should be getting a period right now really. I am still breastfeeding an almost 16 month old as well.
