What does “douching” mean?

This is actually confusing. Some say douching is good for odour and some say it’s not. I use just water and soap to clean my vagina when I take shower. What exactly is “douching” here ? 
If it’s not good for ph then should I never clean my lady bits ? Please suggest

Douching is actually a kit you buy at drug stores and such to clean “internally” and it is AWFUL to do, it will mess up things so much and actually causes more odor then anything else. Cleaning with water in the shower is what you’re supposed to do!! My advice is to use fragrance free or sensitive soap when cleaning down there because it can mess up PH if it’s a fancy soap but what you’re doing is what you’re supposed to be doing! Never douche! Here’s what those kits look like so don’t ever touch one!

Douching is squirting water or a cleaning liquid into your vagina to clean it. It is really bad for vaginal health as it can grow off your PH balance. You should never clean your vagina (internal).  However you can clean your labia and external parts with water. Some people also use a mild soap to clean externally.

Lady bits and vagina arent as interchangeable as a lot of people use those words. Vagina is internal and cleans itself and keeps itself in balance. You should never wash /douche it because it will disrupt the natural processes and leads to more infections. Think of it this way, no one ever tells you that you need to flush out your stomach with soap and water. The outside, the labia, you can wash but carefully. No harsh soaps. Water alone is fine for a lot of people as well. Dont get soaps inside of your vagina. If you practice good hygiene, stay out of dirty and moist clothing for prolonged periods of time, stay hydrated, and maintain a basic level of healthy eating, your vagina should normally take good care of itself.
