I’m posting anonymously because I’m so ashamed and know I’m going to get bashed for this 😒

I have been checked in past and never had any sti’s, i recently found out that my ex partner cheated on me (split up 2 months ago).. for past week I have been seeing someone, I got checked out a few days ago which come back positive for chlamydia. They said this is more than likely to be from my ex partner as It wouldn’t have shown up from this recent man. I really need advice on how to tell him? I’m worried he will go mad at me and never want to speak to me again 😭 I had treatment straight away, I’m scared and don’t know what to say.

Advice please? 💔

So, I told him, he was shocked at first thinking I knew about this sti before I actually slept with him. Once I said I didn’t know, he become very supportive telling me he’s always here to support me and we will get through this together. Me telling him this and seeing how he reacted has made my mind up completely. This guy was someone I knew off but never spoken too until we went home together after a night out, I was unsure about carrying anything on as he’s 2 years younge but the way he’s dealt with this situation is amazing and very grown up!
