PCOS and Endometriosis Positive Story (thus far)

Caitlin • 🔥 2/15/19 🔥 💎10/8/20💎 Severe Preeclampsia Survivor 💪🏻

I just wanted to share a positive story for any of my polycysters and (insert witty pun for endometriosis sisters)! I am excited I just wanted to post! I was diagnosed with endometriosis around 15-16 years old after excruciating episodes of pain where I couldn’t move for 1-3 days. I had 3 laparoscopies over the course of 4 years to remove the endo because it kept coming back. We believe it’s in my muscles now and possibly rectum. I was diagnosed with PCOS around 18 after unexplainable weight gain and fatigue and I was found insulin resistant and my right ovary was polycystic. Well I’d been on bc for about 12 years with continuous dose in the last year. I went off in July... and got pregnant on our first try! My reproductive specialist who has worked with me since 16 to preserve my fertility is ecstatic! My specialist thinks we beat the PCOS and endometriosis flaring back up after stopping bc. I know my story is a rare one and many others struggle. Heck my struggle may still be ahead. But after 12 years of aggressively working to preserve my fertility I come out of my sonogram today with perfect numbers and heartbeat of our first baby! They are so confident in the numbers they only want one final sonogram before transferring me to OB/GYN care. Today I am celebrating 💕 6w3d
