Idk if this is something you bring up or just forget about. I’ve never had this happen to me before lol. I know it’s harmless but I’d want to know I think. Do you guys tell your boyfriends?

Basically, I tell my bf but would reassure him first that I dont find it flattering or whatsoever. Just a part of “so my day was...and this happened too which was rather odd or different than usual day routine”. But it totally depends on ur man. If he’s the type that is super duper easily jealous for over trivial matters than dont. It’s gonna spark a foght that is not worth the argue.

Neither of you can control if other people find either of you attractive and hit on you when you’re apart. It’s just life. I usually will tell my boyfriend if it is worth mentioning, but not everything is that serious. Unless you’re wearing a huge sign above you saying “TAKEN, DON’T TALK TO ME”, you just have to accept that it’s going to happen. I usually just try to be as polite as I can and thank them and if I need to, I’ll say I have a boyfriend. Like, I went to Vegas a couple weeks ago for my cousins bachelorette and we were supposed to go to a night pool party, but went to a club instead and I was wearing a bikini and very small jean shorts and we were invited to a random table and my cousin got hit on and she fit all offered and told them to back off because she was engaged, but when a guy tried to pull me over to him to dance with him I just danced by him and said “ I’m so sorry, but I have a boyfriend” and he thanked me for being honest and it was all good. Unless someone is literally assaulting you verbally or physically, there’s really no need to get offended or uncomfortable or feel like you’re keeping something from your SO. Not everyone knows you’re in a relationship and other people are allowed to find you attractive.

Just read your update and to me he seemed like he was being friendly. If you two did exchange numbers then that would be something to tell him but a little “hello, nice to meet ya” doesn’t really seem too deep to report imo

For some reason my post won’t update so here is what happened: I was walking up the stairwell and passed him as he was coming down. We passed each other but he turned around, brushed my arm to stop me, and said “hey I’ve seen you around campus and have been meaning to make contact with you. Whats your ahem?” We exchanged names and he said it was nice to meet you and I said same thing. I know he may not have been hitting on me but I just thought it was weird he stopped me. But I would also like to know in general when you do tell your boyfriend someone has hit on you.

Are you sure he was hitting on you? If he asked your name and said it was nice to meet you, sounds like a simple encounter. And unless he grabbed you or you had sex with him, I don’t understand why you would tell your boyfriend. Why would he care?
