Measuring two weeks behind

I should be 8 weeks based on LMP, dating US today showed me at 6 weeks. Saw a flickering heartbeat but so small that you couldn’t count it. MD seemed very concerned but that it was 50/50 if this ends in a healthy pregnancy or miscarriage. I don’t know what to think, I’m devastated. Anyone have any success stories like this? I go back in a week for repeat blood work and US.
