Crawling??

My daughter is 8.5 months and shows almost no interest in crawling. We will put her down for tummy time and she will right away get on her knees and push herself into a sitting position. Anyone else’s little one not crawling yet? My husband is concerned she’s falling behind and I’m not sure what we should do. Is there anything that worked to help your child crawl? We’ve tried putting toys or her bottle right out of reach and it doesn’t faze her.

Not to worry, some babies just have no interest. But the general guideline for crawling is anywhere between 6 months and 12 months. Some babies skip crawling and go straight to walking.

Daughter is 8.5 months and I honestly thought it would never happen! Yesterday she finally started army crawling. I’m so happy for her lol but I honestly never really worried. I’ve learned on this forum and through family (nieces, nephews, cousins, friends) every baby develops on their own time. Keep encouraging her but try not to worry!

I was supposed to have dec babies and were preemies, so here my two cents:
One of my babies was totally not interested in crawling (or moving forward or backwards. She would sometimes roll...). After she turned 9m she started slowly trying (rocking herself back and forth) and now at almost 10m she just started crawling. She never settled for army crawling or any other type. For her it was or proper crawling or nothing.
The other twin dragged herself cleaning my floors and does more “free style” crawling hahaha. She started when she was 7-8m.

My son will be 9 months next week and is still not crawling. He just started getting up on his hands and knees in the last week. Try not to worry it will happen eventually.

My daughter is 9mths and she just started army crawling just 2weeks sho! I too had some concerns she was falling behind but I just keep reminding myself that all babies are different and she is meeting all her developmental milestones so I need to relax!!

My babe is 8.5 months too and has no idea how to crawl! She can’t even push herself up into a sitting position. But she is developing and changing weekly so I’m not worried about it. Everyone says enjoy while they aren’t mobile.

My daughter will be 9 months next Sunday and still not crawling... she will kick her legs a lot and pull her knees in...but that is as far as she goes.  She doesn't even pull herself up to sitting yet. We do lots of tummy time and she sleeps on her stomach as well.  She can stand if we place her with something to hold.  She did slither backwards a fee days ago but seemed to be a one off.. I'm trying not to read into it as she is meeting all her other milestones. :)

I will start by saying our little one doesn't push or pull himself up to sitting yet... but he has started army crawling. I do think each child will do things when they want BUT you could also encourage more practice. 
We do tummy time and I would let baby reach towards me, bit grab onto the floor/alphabet mats and I would hold his hands down there and he would then pull himself since he's trying to get to me. I get down really low so I'm at face level with him. This has been part of our routine after diaper changes throughout the day and before bedtime stories IF he has some energy to burn.
