Does depo shots make it hard to conceive

I've been off depo for a year and I've been trying for a while to conceive and no success. I had a friend who was on depo when she was in her teens to early 20s and now she's in her late 20s and it's had to conceive. I was only on depo for like 6 months and I just hope that didn't make it harder for me to conceive. Any advice?

Get off it asap if you're still on it! It's toxic. Everyone has different experiences but I can tell you mine has been a nightmare. I was on it about 7 years. Been off it 9 months now. Never had periods on it and didn't have a period until I was off it almost 7 months. Then the flood... Seriously 70 days of nonstop bleeding. I had a couple ob/gyn visits in there and I had an ultrasound done and blood work (to see what was going on) and tried prometrium (progesterone) to stop the bleeding but no luck. Last week they finally tried a high dose birth control pill (which made me nauseous) and that finally stopped it! I have to stay on the pill for a month to regulate and then at the end, if I can have a normal period, they're going to put me on clomid to get me to ovulate (since I still haven't since coming off the shot). It's been a nightmare and has been making TTC harder than it should have been. Even without all the bleeding, basically everything I have read has said that it can take up to a year to get pregnant after depo. If you have any kind of crazy symptoms after coming off of it, go to your ob/gyn.

I only took 2 doses of depo? Is it still hard for me to conceive. After 3 months my period finally regulated. I'm fertile now and trying to conceive! Will it be any luck?
