Dilating or mucus plug does not mean labor is around the corner!

I have been reading all the posts about mucus plugs and dialating 1-2 cms. Please know that this absolutely does NOT mean you will go on to labor very soon. If you think that, you could drive yourself crazy. You could be there for weeks. I just wanted to share so mamas don't make themselves insane thinking something is wrong with them if doc tells them they are dialated a little or lost their plug and haven't went into labor. A full term pregnancy is normal to 42 weeks! I know it can seem like torture when people go at 37 and 38 weeks, but remember that every baby is different and may need more time. Also, these dates are not always completely accurate! It will happen when it is supposed to. Hang in there!
