Curfew time??????

Question

Is there a such thing as curfew times in relationships? Is a certain time too late to come home from hanging with friends or is everyone grown and everyone go and come as they please?

No curfew, but if you are going to be super late send me a text so I know you are not dead. And tell me that you are on your way home so when I hear footsteps on the stairs I don't get out my taser. Writing this I realize my anxiety issues might be what some consider severe.

Depends on what you're doing. My so and I don't go out seperatly, and wouldn't stay out late anyway. Nothing good happens when your out partying after midnight.

Out of respect, I believe you should come on at a reasonable time. I don't see the point of hanging out at 3 am with your friends when you have a girlfriend. Like what's the point. I feel like when you get in a relationship, things you do while single should no longer happen. I wish my SO and I saw things the same way. He feels like he can do what he wants bc he's grown and he shouldn't have a "curfew" but I'm like what is there for you to do out that late

I don't think there should be a curfew, but you should be aware of where the other person is if they're going to be out late and it should be courtesy to call if they're going to be later than originally planned. No rules, just respect.

My boyfriend went out a couple weeks ago with the boys. I knew that with that particular crew, they could be out until dawn.  In the past, I've woken up at 4:30 am and my man still wasn't home, and it made me so mad. It would make me stay up, wondering if he was safe.

So I told him that he had to be home by 4am, no exceptions. Sure enough, at 3:30am his buddy told him that his curfew was looming, and my man got home in time. Just like Cinderella, with a couple more hours to party ;-)

Like they say on how I met your mother nothing good ever happens after 2 am. My boyfriend and I don't really go out separately. And if we do, we're not out too late. I'll usually be home by like 9 or 10. And he's home earlier.  Lol. Now, when it's us 2 out together we do sometimes stay out late past 2 am. But, it's less likely to be something bad, like a guy trying to hit one me. Or a girl hitting on him because one of us is alone.

I mean, in my relationship there's no "curfew" but if either of us are out later then 1am the other is in bed with the door locked and we are both well aware of this.

My husband respects me enough to come home at a decent hour. He gives me a time and if he is going to be out later he calls me or sends me a text. I do the smell for him also. It's about trust and respect.
