So basically me and my fiancé live on the same land as my in laws, like literally 20 feet walking distance from each other. It’s definitely not my ideal situation, and moving isn’t an option right now. We can see right into each others house and I hate it I feel I have no privacy.

They visit literally 5-10 times a DAY. We’ve spoken to them twice about giving us space, and it works for a while, but then it goes back to normal. Right now we’re in the middle of building a fence for privacy which is great. But to stop them coming over all the time, my partner and I discussed putting a lock which can only be accessed with a code. I obviously wouldn’t tell in laws the code so they can never just walk to our door and knock they would have to call first or something.

They probably would be offended but I’m sure they’d get over it. Am I being too much? I just want some control over my life and privacy.
