Our 5-year-old had the really sad lesson that the baby was not coming today for the Sprinkle my sister is throwing. Oh man. Full on flood of tears. I felt so bad for her and I had not realized that is what she thought today was.

And then later she asked more about the party and asked if Daddy was coming (it's a super small party...and our second so he is excited to go to Menards and do housework). So I told her he was going to stay at home...she gave me a confused look...so I said it was a "girls only party". She immediately gasped and said "If it's a girl only party...then Baby Dylan can't come! What are you going to do Mommy?!"

I love her little mind.
