Post abortion infection?

A week and 3 days ago I had an abortion. As a 17 year old I don’t exactly have a lot of knowledge on stuff like this and I feel like the midwife did not give me as much information as what she should have. 
The pregnancy passed within 2 hours off having the pills and the bad pain stopped a few hours after that. So I know that the abortion has definitely worked.

Starting from a week after having the abortion I’m still bleeding but it’s just like a normal period although the blood is more dark red/browny now and it smells so bad. It smells like I have been using a dirty pad for about a month but I change it regularly and I’m not sure if this is normal. If anyone knows please let me know

I had a miscarriage and they gave me the medicine to pass the rest of the pregnancy..
What you’re going through is very normal. It’s going to smell and be gross and heavy bleeding for quite some time.. I bled for over a month straight.. 
But- beware if the bleeding stops looking like a period and instead looks like you’ve cut yourself and the blood is thin and bright red. This happened to me and come to find out I had to have an actual surgery to fix the problem..
If you aren’t running a fever, getting sick or having diarrhea etc I would say you’re all clear and are still simply passing the remainder of the pregnancy.

I had an abortion when I was 16 and mine was the same afterwards! I was scared that it wasn’t normal but it was, don’t even worry :)
