Does Clomid allow you to ovulate early?

Question

So I normally ovulate in CD 18-19 without Clomid and I’m doing and IUI next month so there putting me on Clomid to increase the chances of conception. I’m just curious is Clomid will make you ovulate on CD 14-15 like your suppose to. My IUI is going to be very time sensitive this month I start a new job on the 24th and I can’t afford to take off work cause I will have just started. They do a ultrasound on CD 3 and CD 12 my cycle day 12 will be on a Sunday and then they said they will most likely do the IUI on CD 14-15 if I’m ready. Just curious are most people ready on CD 14-15.

Forgot to mention I wound up surging before my follicle check so I didn’t use the trigger shot.

I did the same thing this last month. I normally ovulate day 19-20 on my own and did Clomid 100ng day 3-7. Had ultrasound on day 12 triggered that evening and IUI morning of day 14.  Just got my BFP! Good luck!!

I took clomid for the first time this cycle. I had done unmedicated iuis first. I ovulated about two days earlier than the norm for me and my np said sometimes clomid can bump you up the first time u take it. Good luck!!

Supposedly you should ovulate 5-9 days after your last clomid pill but I've heard that clomid can cause you to ovulate earlier or later. Perhaps you could do a follicle scan cd12 or so, and if your follicles are mature ask for the trigger shot to ovulate within 24-36hrs. Good luck!
