So am I virgin or...?

I'm a 16 year old female and me and my bf of 3 months were messing around. We never took off our underwear and he never penetrated me. But when I went to go change my underwear there was blood in it. I'm not on my period and my last period was about a week or two ago so it's no where near time. So did he take my virginty somehow or is it something else?
