Weight loss meets Brick wall!

So I have been working on getting healthier and trying to lose weight. My goal was 40 pounds off to get me back to where I was before college (I blame a ramen noodle and microwave based diet). Yay I am 10 pounds down!! But, unfortunately the first 10 always results in a brick wall. I get to the point I'm not seeing any further results. Does anyone have any tricks to kick start the metabolism? I'm doing 45 minutes of exercise every morning and keeping my calorie count around 1300. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
