When is the earliest you can get an ultrasound done? Vaginal or abdominal

I got mine does at 7 weeks because I didn't know the date of my last period and they needed to know my due date otherwise my doctors office waits until 20 weeks and for good reason. I found out I was pregnant with twins, was all excited and then I lost one to vanishing twin syndrome. You can also get one done before 12 weeks to do the first trimester screening if you chose to do it.

It depends on your doctor. I had mines done at 6 weeks and 4 days only because I was bleeding so they wanted to make sure I wasn't gonna miscarry

Better to wait till 7 or 8 weeks only because sometime if we ovulated later then we calculated then when you get a ultrasound you may not see anything or see a empty sac and it causes stress and concern to look like a miscarriage or eptopic pregnancy ...

Earliest I've seen on here was like 5 weeks or something. There's not really much to see so early on so its best to wait until about 10 weeks. I had a transvaginal ultrasound at 10 weeks, it was my first. I was able to see baby squirming around :)
