So lost and confused please help

So my husband and I have been ttc for 2 and a half years now I was ovulating on our honey moon in June. I took two pregnancy test this month before AF was due and had a friend who has had a kid read them she said they looked positive to her well AF was due on the 13th and on the 12 I had extremely light spotting that was brown with a lot of cm the next day I bled like I was on my period but it was way to light for me to look at like a period then I spotted the next day again it was extremely light then I had nothing for a day then again extremely light spotting I just took another pregnancy test and it was one of the dollar store ones (I took another one earlier this month my first time ever taking them) and both times I get the same result a clear control line that runs horizontal and the tea line if positive should run the same way but instead I got a very clear vertical line both times so I'm not sure what this means and what I should do sorry about the length and thanks in advanced for all the help
