Miscarriage Fears

Hi everyone, sorry to bring up such a sensitive topic, but this is my first pregnancy, so I don't know what to expect and I'm pretty freaked out!

I am 8 weeks pregnant. Yesterday evening I began bleeding lightly. It is mostly brown, sometimes it's a little red. I have also seen what appears to be a couple sesame seed-sized blood clots. It's not much; I slept with a pad on and in the morning it was just lightly marked. It seems to have stopped today.

I have had a bit of cramping, but I have had intermittent light cramping since before I found out I was pregnant, and I've had digestive issues, too. I should also add that I had sex the night before the bleeding started.

If the bleeding has stopped, can I breathe easy? Or can bleeding be sporadic in a miscarriage? It's a holiday so I can't call my midwife. I also don't want to make a big deal out of nothing.
