Rocking chairs/ gliders?

Are they a necessity/ helpful to have? Going back and forth on getting one before baby comes.. thanks in advance!!

We put a recliner in our son’s room and it was a life saver. We did one with overstuffed arm cushions. I’ve used it every single night since he was born and he’ll be 2 in January. I can’t see a rocker/glider being useful though.

We have a rocking recliner in the living room and nursery. My 7mo only falls asleep being rocked, so I’m glad we have them.

Not a necessity, but I loved\ love mine. We only got ours cause my grandparents have it to us, I've used it, with all my kids and both my God children, and can't imagine not having my glider with an infant in the house. But that's me.

I use the glider every single day! I just got up from it literally 5 minutes ago from putting my son down for a nap.

Nothing really besides diapers, bm or formula and a safe place to sleep is really needed, but I loved my chair in my sons room and he is almost and still we use it. I think it’s one item that I definitely used a ton so it was worth the price. He still loves being cuddled in it.

We already had a glider so I didn’t have to go out and buy one. I love having it in my son’s room. I’m almost exclusively pumping so it’s become part of our bedtime routine after changing his diaper and into pj’s - we sit in the rocker while he gets his bottle and then we read a book. Worth it for us.

When my baby was a week old my mom went out and bought a used glider for me off market place and it's been a life saver. Highly recommend.

I use mine in my daughter’s room everyday twice a day it’s part of her sleep routine. Haven’t gotten one for this baby yet - oops!!
