When do you get your first ultrasound ladies?

Help!!! New mom alert
***So I took a pee test at home confirmed I was pregnant then I went to my normal Doctor Who did bloodwork and said I was pregnant but did not do the blood work where they determine how far along you are. Then I called my OB/GYN and made an appointment and they told me that I don’t need to come in until my eighth week for an ultrasound and I’m kind of confused don’t they want to make sure the baby is in the right spot? Should I push for them to do an ultrasound sooner?

there really isnt much, if anything, to see before about 6 weeks. itd be a waste of time unless you have a high risk pregnancy.

Mostly every obgyn won't do an ultrasound until between 8-10 weeks

I didn't get one until 12 weeks last time.

Mine was at 4 weeks to confirm pregnancy, after at 7 weeks to search for a heartbeat (found :D) and it's a good thing I went then, as the obgyn found a SCH that appeared out of nowhere, never had any symptoms. By week 8, I had already treated it and it had reduced by 70%.

I had my first one at 7 weeks 3 days.

I had one at 6 weeks for my daughter because I was bleeding. For my son I had he usual one at 8 weeks because everything was normal.

I did mine at 6 weeks and heard the heartbeat even tho it wasn't much to see then

First time momma here, I had my first at 8 weeks. Won't have another one until 16ish weeks to hopefully tell us the gender. 🤞

I was heavy bleeding so I went in early at about 5 weeks, trust me there isn’t much to see around then and if you go in that early it’s to make sure everything is usually still ok. 👍🏻 you’ll have more fun seeing it at 8 weeks!
