Satanism (both)

I've been wondering if anyone here knows about satanism. The theistic (following satan) and atheistic (more self worship. No belief in Demons angels gods or satan). Both are recognized "religions" in the U.S.

Share what you know about them or what you know. You can also share what you've heard about it. I've heard theistic sacrifice virgins (not true), what about you? What crosses your mind when you hear satanism or meet someone who identifies as a satanist (either theistic or atheistic).
