What is wrong with people?!😡

My baby shower is September 15th. My mom, best friend, and sister in law are throwing it for me. My husband’s side has ZERO involvement and never even asked how they could help. They did that for our wedding too, they’re very selfish and don’t like to spend money on anything but themselves. 
Anyway! I am surprised to learn his step mother has chosen an ANNUAL CAR SHOW over our baby boy’s shower. I partly think she’s salty because this is my husband’s father’s first BLOOD grandson. She’s trying to drive a wedge between him and his grandson which is awful to see my husband’s feelings get hurt. 
Anyone else experiencing this with family? Why would someone decide an annual public event was more important than a BABY!? I’m just so crushed, mostly for my husband he keeps saying “sorry my family sucks.” ☹️☹️

Pretty much everyone on my husbands side has said they have ‘plans’ the day of my shower. 
My mother said one thing, ‘remember this when the baby comes’ 
Enjoy it without them? It’ll still be great. Maybe even less stressful!

Yea what jeanette said..if they cant here dor u now they shpuldnt b allowed to when baby is born. My family is like that too. O ly wanna show when they feel like it or when it benefits them.not there dor support or the hard stuff.but sure wanna show up when its fun, makes them look good or when baby is born..exactly why my sister will not b atmy birth or thereafter...hasnt checked on me or baby all pregnancy but feels like she is entitled to be there dor the birth..nope..thank you come again...

I’m learning in my family if you have one of each gender and have another baby after you have one of each they could care less about that child. I’m having my third I’ve had a boy then a girl and now another girl and it seems like NOBODY is excited. I’ll admit my sister is the only one. But I understand she was not excited when I first told her (and she was the first person I told) but she has been trying for over two years to get pregnant. But she actually got pregnant three weeks after I did (so when I told her I was pregnant that week is most likely when she got pregnant). And she tried to be happy but she also wanted a baby and I got pregnant before her. But she didn’t find out she was pregnant until she was 12-13 weeks. So we’re both kinda excited we get to have a baby together.

I’ve been having problems on both side sadly, so I totally feel your pain twice over 🙌🏻😞 🙄
My parents are Christians and my husbands family is Catholic and frankly that’s a big deal for my family and have made it very Known they don’t like that and would prefer if I “had kept my options opened” 😑😡 
yes, my mother did say that. 
Well when it came down to the baby shower stuff, my mother made sure that I knew that she will not be giving a baby shower to me or my husband for the sake of her beliefs but will be giving one to my sister. Unsure why that information about my sister was important for me to know but she let me know..😑 but she hopes there was no hard feelings! except for the fact she has made it known she doesn’t care for this grand baby as much as her other two. 
It has come down to me and my husband just making one for ourselves and I’m so okay with that, I love decorations and crafts so yay!👏🏻☺️ but as this is all happening, my husbands sister( who’s been very Jealous of me since I came into my husbands life and is a terrible mother to her only daughter and makes it known she doesn’t like when her daughters runs to me every time she sees me, but she will hardly give her kid attention. It’s so sad )  tells us she wants all of her drunk trashy friends to come to our baby shower. 
Obviously that’s a no..
So when we tell her that, she doesn’t like that and won’t come to our baby shower. Cool with me, less drama 🙌🏻😌 but... she decided to tell my husband knowing he’ll tell me that she might be pregnant... and if she is she would love if EVERYONE CAN KNOW AT OUR BABY SHOWER ??? Y’all I am just DONE.. we are currently dealing with that but I swear if I see her face, I am gonna forget I’m a huge whale and punch that smug face of hers 😑😑😡 but any who, I feel ya and completely understand the crazy going on 😑😩
