Have you ever had to quit a job because of your anxiety?

I want to quit my job so bad due to my anxiety. I can't seem to focus and every time  I make mistakes my anxiety gets worse.

About 2 years ago this happened to me. I was so stressed out my boss was verbally abusive to me and I was overloaded with stress from not enough sales for them. I was having panic attacks everyday I couldn’t focus. I had to quit for my  health which was so scary. It was the best decision I made though that place was toxic. You have to do what’s right for you no matter what anyone thinks or says. Sometimes one door closing has to for a better one to open up.

I had to quit a job where my boss was verbally abusive and caused my anxiety to get worse. the day I had a panic attack in the car on my way home I decided not to go back for my own mental health. however, if you love your job and it's the anxiety that's making work difficult, may be talk to them for some time off, or lowering your work load until you feel better. My current boss is very flexible with me and completely respects my needs. a world of difference!

Yo I have really bad social anxiety and I work at a restaurant answering pick up and delivery orders and have to talk to costumers when they come to pick up food. Occasionally I work as hostess and sometimes as waitress and there were days when I dreaded going to work. But I’ve been working there for a year now, and honestly it has really helped me deal with my social anxiety. It allows me to deal with my biggest fear head on and once ur familiar with the way things work at ur job, it gets a lot easier. I mean if u feel ur job is becoming to much of a hassle, then yeah put yourself first and quit. But honestly I can say that personally through pushing myself and focusing on just my job and not my anxiety has helped me be a more social person in general. Now I’m currently also employed at my university as a peer educator which is basically me talking to students all the time lol. A lot of the times it’s easy to hide away bc of anxiety but in my experience going at it head first has made me realize that anxiety is not something that can control me, but rather something that I can control

Honestly I just have to give yourself breaks and breath, drink some water, calm down, take a minute and get back to work. 
If none of that is working and this work place is bringing u down it’s not a healthy place for u to be so I would say quit if u think it’ll be good for you x

I haven't had to quite because of that but when I left for other reasons it lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders and I felt relieved and better. Maybe find another Job that you think you will enjoy.

Yes. The job was weighing on me for a while, so i found a new job and got hired before i quit the old one.

I've had to. But I also was still living at home so it wasn't dangerous.
